I have finally got around to putting together this blog to showcase my teddy bears. I have been meaning to do so for a very long time.
Any of you who already know me will know that I am a patchwork & quilting enthusiast and have been so for many years now. You may already know me from my other blog SewHappy.Me I spend a great deal of my time designing and sewing quilts and inspiring others too through the SewHappy.Me website. But what many of you will possibly not know is that I also love to make teddy bears.
I think I made my first jointed teddy bears some thirty years ago now for my children. Over the years since I have dabbled with the occasional bear but I took it up more seriously around three years ago. During this time I have made a number of teddy bears and designed my own teddy bear patterns to create my one of a kind bears. As each teddy bear has been made it has been boxed away in its own little box whilst I continued to mull over my plans for this website.
So, finally the blog has materialised and the teddy boxes are each being opened and photographed. Each teddy bear is looking forward to showcasing its charm here whilst hoping to find a new home. They are all feeling a little bored with being shut away in the dark. They are hoping to bring pleasure and delight to a new recipient.
As for me, I will be sorry to see them go as they have each held a place in my heart. But I do feel that they should be bringing others some joy. No teddy bear should be hidden away!
I will of course be continuing to make more as I just seem to have this need to create them. I will also be putting together my teddy bear patterns for sale here on this site too as soon as I am able to. And in time I will be adding tutorials to the site.
So please do take a look at my available bears They each have their own little personality. Maybe one of them will call out to you.
And if you would like to subscribe to this blog (in the top right corner), you will receive my occasional email updates when I add any new bears, patterns or teddy bear news to the site.
Hope you enjoy your visit.
